At the Dutch Creativity Awards 2022, two of our productions were awarded with a SpinAward: the podcast Plan B, which we made for the National Postcode Lottery, and De Man met de Rammelaars ('The Man with the Rattles') for the Jewish Museum in Amsterdam.
Airborne brings Albert Heijn campaign to life
For 'Expeditie Oceaan', Airborne developed an 8D audio podcast, together with Studio Freek and biologist Freek Vonk. In this podcast you'll hear and learn everything about the ocean: a magical underwater world. Because of the 8D-audio, you feel like you're in the middle of the ocean and all its lifeforms.
Airborne launches its podcast 'GIEP'
GIEP tells the story of how advertising came of age in the Netherlands. Over the past half century, it’s developed into an industry of enormous economic value, and has become a part of all of our lives. This 6-part series shows how it all began.
Airborne released its latest podcast, Plan B, produced together with the Nationale Postcode Loterij. In it, Dutch singer/songwriter Nick Schilder dives deep into his waste bin, closet and refrigerator to see how things can be done differently - in a way that’s good for the planet. Podcast for Jewish Museum
Together with the Jewish Museum, we created 'De man met de rammelaars' ('The man with the rattles'). This 4-part podcast series tells the story behind a curious collection of almost a thousand rattles. In search of answers, the miraculous life story of Heinz Keijser unfolds.
During the Olympics, we developed a pop-up radio station for Stedin, aimed at the employees of this network provider. Emerce wrote an article about this innovative approach for internal communication.
Corporate Vision Magazine, the international industry magazine for C-level management, has awarded Airborne at the annual Media Innovator Awards. Our agency received the award 'Leading Front Runner in Branded Audio 2021'.

New work for Randstad
October 5, 2021 was the 3rd edition of Diversity Day: the perfect moment to release the first episode of the new podcast series 'Je beste zelf zijn' (Be Your Best Self). We developed this podcast together with Randstad Groep Nederland. The central question in this series: what does it take to be the best version of yourself in the workplace? The first episode focuses on the theme of vulnerability.
Lost & found: Lovie Award
Last year we won an international Lovie Award for our work for ANWB. This renowned and beautiful award was sent to us, but got lost in the mail for months.
Fortunately, our package was finally found and delivered last week and the award is now shining as if it has to make up for all the lost months.

Anik had already been associated with Airborne for some time and worked on, for example, The Journey (KLM) and The Art of Sleep (Rituals). She has years of experience as a podcast and audio documentary maker for the BCC, CBC and ABC, among others, and we are very happy that she will now also use her experience within our team.
In addition to her work for Airborne, Anik continues to teach journalism and storytelling at the University of Groningen.

New. Pop-up radio for Stedin
Grid operator Stedin is a co-sponsor of the Olympic Games. To bring the feeling of this sporting event alive among employees, we have set up a radio station together with sports marketing agency TripleDouble: Goud.fm. During the Olympics, employees could listen to a radio station exclusively developed for them between 7 and 9 a.m. via an app.
Former Radio 538 DJ Menno de Boer took care of the implementation and provided a nice mix of Olympic news, music and a lot of input from Stedin employees. Result: great enthusiasm within Stedin and mutual solidarity. Listen to the highlights here (https://www.goud.fm)
2021: Listening is the new watching

For Velux we made the podcast Lekker Thuis, about home improvement. It is a pan-European project: we produced this podcast in close collaboration with the Danish agency Revolt and Fresh Air Productions, from the UK. New work: audio-experience Amsterdam Marathon
For TCS Amsterdam Marathon we developed a 3D audio experience together with agency Glasnost. The 2020 edition of the marathon is virtual. To give runners the feeling of running through the streets of Amsterdam, we developed this unique audio experience. While listening to energy-boosting music, you hear Amsterdam passing by: ringing trams, cyclists, market vendors and - not to forget - enthusiastic supporters who encourage the runners.
